The Joys of a June Wedding
Since requests are rolling in from June brides for 2013, I thought I'd post some inspiration photos from this country club chic wedding in Litchfield, one of SWND's past June weddings. Loved the fresh and clean look of this spring wedding. Photo credit: Dru Nadler.

Winvian Retreat
How can you go wrong at Winvian? The setting, the service, the style ... SWND was so excited to take on this corporate event that required three different designs for three different events. Here's what we came up with .... Using all local flowers!!
For the Reception {strawflower, solidago, amaranth, and assorted grasses} ...
For a picnic luncheon {sunflower, delpinium, hydrangea, dahlia} ...
For Dinner {hydrangea, dahlia, anemone, and snapdragon}...

Fun + Fabulous Norfolk Estate Wedding
Just received photos back from a gorgeous wedding I did back in July. This is a favorite because the bride and groom managed to capture that intimate, laid-back vibe while not skimping on ANY details. Photos by Natasha Montero.

Peachy-Pink Perfection
Couldn't resist posting a few photos just back from the talented duo at hartnettstudio. The luscious peachy-pink garden roses from this wedding last June were so much fun!

Kickin' Back at Roughland Estate in Norfolk, CT
For the darling bouquets we contrasted the soft texture of hydrangea with the rough texture and bold color of blue sea holly and yellow billy balls.
This country chic wedding at the not-to-be-believed Roughland Estate in Norfolk, CT was the perfect mix of relaxed summer fun and rustic elegance. From the down-home outdoor ceremony to the fresh mix of summer colors, this wedding just screamed JULY in Northwest Connecticut. What fun!

Hilltop Ceremony in Morris
There is nothing quite like a long meandering path through tall grass to reveal the big moment. This wedding ceremony at a private residence in Morris, CT was set-up atop a hill at the end of this path, complete with 180 degree views of the Litchfield Hills. The shepherd hooks with hanging pails and summer flowers we used help add weight and define the path for guests to follow. Fabulous!
I thought these sweet wooden fans were a lovely touch for a hot day.

Commence Wedding Season 2012!
Got to work with Sarah Taggart of aPp Christine + Mike's wedding in Litchfield this weekend. Lots of fun -- and what an amazing day. P-e-r-f-e-c-t weather! Loads of greens, whites and blues made this golf club wedding springy and fresh. We added a lovely vintage lace and blue satin detail on each of the glass vases that added just a the perfect touch of sweetness to the table arrangements.
The bridesmaid's bouquets were composed of a green + white tulip, grape hyacinth, white ranunculus, and hydrangea. Adorable and a great complement to their cobalt dresses.
