Abigail's Naming Ceremony

Not easy to find greens and purples in mid-Fall but we've done it! Here is a lovely mix of berries, pods, grasses, queen anne's lace, and purple lycianthes (which was not picked locally, i must admit) in white milk glass, followed by classic fall-hued hydrangea and grass feathers.

Egyptian Papyrus in a Pot

I'm obsessed with this amazing egyptian papyrus plant on a neighbor's door stoop. I tried to find one in the nyc flower district and no such luck...only the traditional looking papyrus but not this variety with the smaller, poofier clusters at the end of long, narrow rays. Would be spectacular as an option for a more modern table arrangement or decor.

Dropped off these sweet & shiny little arrangements at the always-fabulous design boutique Pimlico in New Canaan, Ct. Silvery artemisia is one of my new favorite fillers.
